"Mairi's Wedding" is an original design for punch needle or traditional rug hooking and is hand drawn on quality Primitive Linen or Monks Cloth. This design is 28" by 22" with a generous boarder around the pattern for hooking ease. The edges have been zigzag stitched to prevent fraying.
"Mairi's Wedding" was inspired by the traditional Sccotish folk song by the same name:
"Step we gaily on we go,
Heel for heel and toe for toe
Arm and arm and row on row
All for Mairi's wedding"
~Lyrics - Hugh Robertson
A whimsical interpretation, these sweet bunnies are captured sin the joyful moment of their wedding dance surrounded by bowers of beautiful roses, a chapel of trees, and vintage british bunting held up by two cheerful wee birdies.
